Good job on these sketches man! Painting is really challenging, and I know how you feel when you say you wanna go do to something else! Just keep working--you know your strengths and weaknesses better than anyone else. Anyway, you're always progressing and getting better. The pose on 16 is really solid. MORE!

wong's right. give us your # so we can talk to you, man! dont worry we won't call you collect.
16's pose is conveyed really fluently while 17's pose is a lil stiff. you got some crazy value jylz goin on, my friend. waitin to see what happens when you level up again.

Definitely agreed with the stiffness. It was one of many things that was frustrating me. Its like I can see it but now how to fix it. I should try the pose in a sketch then do a body comparison in the mirror. Ill have to email you guys my #

I know what u mean..somehow sketching on paper is alot faster on paper than on screen. Heehee i have a lot of "aborted attempts". Cool designs by the way. Like what DarkFong said about the left elbow, its easily fixed just by lenghtening her arm. Probably have to raise the arm a bit higher. Also her right boot, the angle is not right. Has to be smaller cause the right boot is in front. Probably have to shade it in a faded way so that it seems behind the left boot. Its a tough position by the way. Probably its best to start this piece with a layer with just the pose, then adding on the costume and equipment? Taking it step and step can solve a lot of problems. Its just a suggestion though. Haha i feel like i've rambled on too much.

Man, your leveling up in speed and consistency, as well as incorporating some nice designs. I know what you mean about working on projects for lengths of time, the sketches kinda leave a bit more to the imagination and show a rawer version of the character which color and stuff can be interpretation, while gray scales kinda set a tone to things. 17 has a really nice design, her attitude is there. I think what threw me off about it was the elbow though. Damn perspective, tough angle, and tough spot. I really like the guys suit simply because of the fact that it looks very possible. It doesn't look too crazy far fetched or anything. Not really sure what his occupation is, but whatever it is, hes ready...oh he's ready. Looks more like an astro man than anything else, however I could be entirely wrong. The folds and wrinkles look freaking terrific, I am going to have to jiggity jack that book when you get back. (i spit hot fire). Keep the series up..they look like they belong in a book *ding* Need to get a phone card so we can chit chat . Until then I will await your new ish.

A book my arse! Im not even there yet man. Im thinkin I should start workin more on poses that trouble me and just use characters already designed so I can focus on the pose. I feel theres some things I should know but I dont work at it enough to commit it to memory. I just keep doin the same ol' shiet! New ish is comin, but its kinda smellin like ish though lol. thanks dawg!

Aw very cool, I wish I had your talent to design characters. Trying to model without character sheets is a pain in the ass!
