Thank you! For the curl I styled a small piece of a hair extension around a thin wire using Got 2 B Glued gel. After it dried, I attached the end of the wire to a hair clip and bent it into the right shape.

It was in the womans department... but it was also about three years ago. I doubt they still have these outfits in stock, but you could always check online.

You used your own hair for this? I'm trying to do the same thing, any tips?
Awesome costume, by the way

My hair was already the right style and color, so all I had to do was add the curl. I used hair extensions around a wire and hooked it to a hair clip. Just let me know if you need any help with it.

My hair style is slightly different in every photo because I cosplayed him over a period of three years! If your hair is a bit too long you can always use bobby pins to pin it up a bit on the sides. My bangs were way too short at a few cons, but I don't think anyone really notices as lng as you have the right color and the curl. ^_^

Sadly, no. I went back a few weeks later to get the same outfit in tan in case I ever decided to be Romano, but they were already sold out. I haven't seen them there in the past year.

Thank you! I had the boots already but I made the white cuffs. It wasn't too hard. They just kind of tuck in around the boot top.

AUGH. I wish my walmart was cool enough to have usable stuff. Pochi envy's you. And the fact you have done both Chibitaia and Italy. ; 3 ;

It was a total fluke really! I had already bought the pattern before I found this. (I've also done shipwrecked Italy, cd cover Italy, and mafia Italy. I'm just that obsessed!)

Kasandra-Callalily In reply to PoPiPoPochi [2010-06-25 03:28:13 +0000 UTC]
Actually most of my costumes were made from regular clothing, just altered a bit. Chibitalia was entirely hand made, but I didn't use a pattern (just kind of winged it). Sorry I can't be of more help!

Italy is so fun to be! (Saddly, I'm a little too shy to really act in character much!) Where is Ikasucon held? I know I've heard of it.

Rukiso-Dear In reply to Kasandra-Callalily [2009-09-01 11:22:50 +0000 UTC]
It's held in Fort Wayne, in the Grand Wayne Convention Center. It's a pretty small con, but it's the only one that I can ever go to! @w@ And it's still really cool. Last year, Roy Mustang and Envy's voice actors came. It was the first time I'd ever seen voice actors there. >w>
So it's a little con, but it's still lots of fun.

Sounds fun! Really far from me though... I've never met Roy and Envy's voice actors, but I have met Ed and Winry's.

I just used my own hair (plus an extention for the curl). With Halloween coming up, there will be lots of wigs around in stores. Hopefully you can find something! I get most of my wigs off ebay.

Hmmm... that doesn't give you a whole lot of time. If you ordered one off line it may not get to you in time. You could see if there are any costume stores near you (even seasonal Halloween ones).

YoshiTariSoda In reply to Kasandra-Callalily [2009-08-30 20:36:15 +0000 UTC]
there's on near by, but most of the wigs there are already done and curled and whatnot

Kasandra-Callalily In reply to YoshiTariSoda [2009-09-01 03:43:16 +0000 UTC]
There will be more stores getting out Halloween stuff now, but it's hard to find natural styles and colors in Haloween wigs. Cog Marc and Professional Only are good ebay wig stores if you could make sure it shipped in time.

As far as I know. They're just ebay stores instead of individual sellers so everythings new and usually better quality.

D: oh, i don't really use ebay as much as i do with amazon, but there aren't any wigs that look like they've been cared for~

I've never bought a wig from Amazon before. Buying wigs online is always a little risky.

Thanks! I made the curl by attaching wire covered with hair extentions to a hair clip. The rest of the hair is my own!
