WK37 Suluk was identify in 1999 with her mother WK34 Tide and the rest of her uncles and aunts. Scientists were quickly interested in her because of her unique markings. With further DNA tests on her over the years, scientists figured that she's half & half Type B and New Zealand type, which is a first in this area. She always been curious of boat, playing and surfing around them.

In 2003, WK34 Tide disappeared and scientists assumed she sadly passed away. After the passing of her mother, Suluk traveled with her brother WK36 Thaddeus for couple of years, including the rest of her uncles and aunts. Then WK36 also disappeared, scientists found him beached with deep boat marks.

After that, scientists didn't find WK37 for months with her pod, fearing the worst. Until she was found near the Blue Earth Rescue Center based at Waikawa, in Porpoise Bay. She was clearly skinnier and lethargic. The rescue team jumped in to save her, giving her medication and food, which surprisingly she accepted. After few months, she was back to health and started swimming further and further from the base, until one day she came back with her cousins: WK38 Tempest and WK39 Ripley with their own calves WK40 Silver and WK42 Pepper.
Even tho her cousins and nieces never approached the base and the scientists, Suluk kept coming back to the base to get some attention, training and food. One day, she arrived with a new unrelated member named Ururoa who scientists recognized as a young male they saved from a beaching months ago. Following Suluk's example, Ururoa started to accept hand feeding and some contact.

Few years later, scientists started to notice that Suluk was getting weight and getting chubbier than her normal size and they quickly knew she was pregnant. To the surprise of everyone, she gave birth right in front of the base, seconded by her cousins. She gave birth an hour later of a healthy male named Naasduu by the rescuers. The pod stayed few weeks around the base, giving scientists a perfect opportunity to study a newborn killer whale in the wild.

As growing up, Naasduu became really curious of the rescuers and even nibble some fishes from them. When he got around a year old, the pod arrived with a new member that the rescuers recognize as a female they saved from beaching and who had a burning mark looking like a sakura flower, due to her name ''Sakura''.
