Sketch commission for of her character, Zeakar.Super awesome character, and the glowies were quite fun ;u;
Added a bit more details to this one and more lighting since Quirachen is mainly the reason I was able to get so many commissions so quickly by featuring me on FA. ;o;

When I'm working it seems to take me forever too, especially the detailing xD I just don't like commissioners to wait long, so I work on them as fast as I can, while still taking the time to detail and shade and all that other stuff. Usually means I only work on art for the days though, but I don't have much else to do atm

Woooow, I really like this TuT I love the pose and the glowiness of his nails and tongue. I really like that face too , it kinda looks like something I would draw |D And of course, unlike myself, your anatomy is amazing, so yeah. <3

FFF I wish I could study anatomy. I just...don't have the right resources and photos only do so much. I'd really like a vet anatomy book or something to learn muscle structure and stuff. ;v;

Oh, but there's this one website online that's like an anatomy jackpot apparently. I haven't looked at it much, since it's a bit hard to navigate, but it has scientific illustrations of bones, muscle, and a bunch of other things. I think it's used by vets and stuff too. o-o

Some of the photos I find online aren't what I'm looking for though ;A; Since most of them are static poses, it's hard to find the right anatomy and poses for things in motion and in different perspectives :<

That's when it really helps to have studied the anatomy a bit of the same animal from different angles, and eventually, you'll begin to understand how it works better, and then you can figure out how to use a pose reference that isn't exactly what you're looking for, and then manipulate it in your mind/on paper, so that you can draw the pose you want, with a reference that's similar. I hope that made sense, I can't think right now |D

Paws always turn out differently every time I draw them too, it makes me flip tables. WHY CAN'T THEY JUST LOOK NICE T___T

Ah, I used to do that a lot too |D I think the problem is that in that angle, the paw itself can't be that far down, so you'd have to draw the paw angled more forward and to the side, not down?
The whole body moves with placing of limbs too, so that wolf's front part of it's body is too low for it to be able to move it's paw that high. If you think of it like that, it might help improve on that aspect in the future ouo
D: I know how that goes too lol, my paws... I don't even know, sometimes I draw them more realistically, others more cartoonish, I just can't seem to pick one OTL Sometimes if I draw them realistically (where realistically, often times you can barely differentiate the toes), it just doesn't fit the picture or style, so I have to cartoonize them somewhat. >->;

Sorry, I told you my brain isn't working ;__;
In other words, anatomically, the paw in that angle is impossible without the wolf breaking its shoulder and ankle? That's why you can never find any references for that angle, because they can't do it. If you have a big dog and try moving it's paw in that angle, you won't be able to do it because the shoulder has limited mobility up and outwards, especially when the spine isn't aligned right. The only way you'd be able to see the paw in the angle you drew is if the wolf/dog/etc is running straight towards the viewer, but then the rest of the leg would have to be moved accordingly.

I had no idea how else to explain it |D If you look at enough pictures closely and imagine how the bones work (and have a big dog to experiment with lol), you'd be surprised the little things you can pick up that help tons with improving anatomy o:

Bailey doesn't really count as a dog in terms of learning generic dog anatomy >__>;
Even so, his shoulders won't bend outwards much either, and not just because he barely has legs xD
