It was on a 9x12 piece of manila (like the folders). So it was a fairly heavy weight and had the cream color as a base, but not much bigger than a standard sheet of printer paper.

That is the neatest fairy design I've ever seen! Instant Froud resemblance, that man is the Lord of Fairies.

Very nice, lovey! I'm going to venture a guess that you're in an art college, correct...?

I thought I recognized that little imp!
I'm a big Froud-fan, and I read that book repeatedly in middle school.
Well done!

Whatever that creature is, it's awesome! I like the quality of colours you used... somehow it's soft while being bright. Who knows if I make sense!

Ah Brian Froud is awesome, but I love how you changed his work to suit your own. Plus, it's nice not to see another beautiful flowing thing being called a "fairy."
personally I believe faerie nature is a reflection of the human side of us and therefore should be devious, malicious, capricious, and full of their own ammoral wants. Faerie looks are a reflection of the physical world the faerie imbodies, usually taken in the form of the flora and fauna of said place.

Hmm, this is one of the most unique pieces I have seen in a long time--and even though she is a frog, she's very pretty! The bird-thing is awesome too. It really flows.

From good faeries, bad faeries, right? Heh, minus the nudity... nice work.

Yes, that's the book. It was for school... so yes, the nudity had to go. Thanks.

Wow. Excellent -- your original style outshines Froud's. And the color pencil texture control is outstanding!

Well, thank you. Coloured pencil, in my opinion, is really underestimated - it's my favorite medium.
Brian Froud owns me, however. lol
