Wildwings may be able to fly, but even they need to rest their wings. Flights across the sea were often perilous and risky. For ancient sea farers who saw them as messengers to their gods, this was often seen as a sign of good luck when one would roost upon their ship’s cross beam to rest.

Day 14: Sea

I've had it in my head for some time that, possibly, several pagans saw these guys as messengers to their gods in this universe's past. It popped into my mind one day and has stuck ever since.

This one also happens to be my favorite thus far.
