This is my birthday gift for the incredible MMakku ! Once again, I'm behind by almost 7 weeks in presenting it, but heyyy.... again... better late than never?

I also asked Makku if there was a character she'd like to see me draw, and I got Veznir!! He's a totally sweet and enthusiastic Shadar-kai bard who loves playing his lute, so of course, I had to draw him playing it!!    I didn't know what the full lute looked like, so I improvised on what the design of the neck looked like and what the rose was on the soundhole (everywhere I went, this design looked very common on lutes, so I went with this pattern). I hope this was okay!

So normally I try to find some symbolism for my backgrounds... but this time, I was trying to aim for something bright and happy that helps bring out the pink in his gloves (without being too overwhelming). I hope the fun green/blue colors did the trick!

Makku, I can't tell you how happy I am to have you as a friend!! You're such an awesome person in my book! You've always been so supportive and positive (even when life makes it difficult to stay positive sometimes), and its been amazing watching your characters expand and grow- and seeing how much of an impact they've had on you in the process! And of course, our conversations about OCs/music/life always spark joy!!
Its a little late to wish you "happy belated birthday" - so I'm wishing you all the Good Health, Good Vibes, and happiness and love you deserve (and you definitely deserve them)!!
