A remake of this pic from 2009. To those of you who think your art will never improve, THERE IS HOPE, I repeat THERE IS HOPE!! It's hard work, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort to practice your craft, you WILL get better. Use references, from the movies and of real lions. See if your favorite artists show tutorials or speedpaints. Use the internet to your advantage. Try, and maybe fail, but keep trying! This is perhaps the best my work has ever been, and it's because I didn't want to settle for "good enough." So I reworked the background elements dozens of times to get them to look the way I wanted. And you know what? The tutorials and videos I studied from gave me ideas, but in the end the technique I used was my own. I used at least five different references of Kiara because I can't draw her for shit, but I kept working at it until I was satisfied. Learn! Explore! And most importantly, Create!!!
