So this has a bit of an interesting story. I've made a point of trying to give gifts that she can make more use of on her birthday for fun than anything else, and for the last couple this has been giving her "blank" commissions. I pay the cash, she draws whatever she wants within the price range, in any time frame she desires. It's a bit odd, but I've seen a lot of artists burn out or never get time to do their own stuff, so this seemed like a good way to create a window in that. The first time it was two of her own characters, this time, it was this rather sweet piece of Star Wars' Din Djarin and Grogu.

It's a very nice take here and it captures core aspects of what makes the Mandalorian such an engaging show. There's a creative balance of very different characters, obvious Western inspirations, and ties to prior stories while TRYING to stay hands off enough to keep new watchers engaged. Also, yes, that is the darksaber there.

It's a great piece, and there's not much more I can really add to this, save for an apology for the watermark. This is a fantastic art piece, and I do not want to see someone trying to pinch it to create an NFT, given how that's been plaguing the art community of late.
