Description Okay, I have this dream that the BBC would remake The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (not that the original TV incarnation isn't already marvellous) and that Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding played Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect respectively. It seems like a perfect match to me...

The Arthur Ford dynamic seems really similar to the Howard/Vince one. They're the most stable, consistant thing in each other's lives and are basically close friends, but don't actually get along very well. And Vince has a habit of rounding on Howard when someone cooler shows up and encourages him. Like Ford does to Arthur.

Arthur there doesn't really look anything like Julian Barratt. Ho-hum... Ford's clothing is a mix of 70s-Ford and Vince Noir. Sort of a preppy version of Vince.

Obviously the poses are modelled on [link]

In all honesty: I thought Ford was a woman before I saw your description. As a straight male, I'm now feeling EXTREMELY confused.

Thanks.

How incredibly British . Howard has a similar world-weary cynicism to Dent, both of them seem to get hit my misfortune frequently, while Ford and Vince both have an eccentric "Doctor-Who"-esque quality (to me, anyway).

As a side note, Bob Fossil would make a good Zaphod

in the words of our favorite mod, GENIUS!
i've been a life-long HGTTG fan and i can't believe i never saw this parallel! this is an incredible idea, the surrealism of the Boosh would fit so well in the wacky humor of Douglas Adams. man.... i'm all excited now for something that won't ever happen....
ps. great drawing too!

Holy shit, I love this idea. TMB and HGTTG are my two favorite British things ever.
