Description Diane really couldn’t believe she was out and about again. Two weeks after the Good Samaritan Awards, she still had Wolf’s little rascals inside of her. She was honestly expecting to fall into labor that very night when she tried on her Crimson Paw outfit. However, she just kept growing, at least a little. She was partly embarrassed, all the food she’s been having to eat to keep herself healthy having done a number on her figure even without the growing babies.

The Governor pulled herself down the steps of the private bus, careful not to gobble over from the baby weight, and thanked the security officer who helped her onto the sidewalk, giving a gentle wave towards the crowd that gathered outside the Natural History Museum. She was here to announce more funding to a few of their educational programs, and importance of science education. While it wasn’t that big of an interest to her, Diane knew that understanding science would be a great way to keep folks informed about the world around them, and to be open minded. She waddled slowly through the front door, at the point that she couldn’t even walk at a brisk pace.

Diane had the place to herself for a good hour until people would be let in to come to the conference, and when she’d be speaking. She thought about how her assistant, Wolf, Webs, and the others were practically begging for her to just stay home and rest. This was however too important for her. She sauntered through a dinosaur themed exhibit, her arms wrapped around her enormous belly. She was stunned by just how big she was now. Triplets, likely in the final days, no, hours of her pregnancy, all thanks to a little fun with Wolf. She loved and hated her current situation. She loved the life that was growing in her, but she resented how massive it made her. Not just her belly, but her chest and even her arms and face had been showing a bit of fluff that she’d need to work off after their birth, hopefully.

As she silently walked alone through another exhibit featuring different kinds of minerals, she stopped and felt a sharp kick just above her naval. Diane let out a breath and smiled, once again giving her bump a gentle caressing.

“You wanna steal all these rocks don’t you? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure I raise you better than what I used to be..”

After she took a quick glance around to make sure no one heard her say this, she continued to make her way through the place, ignoring a dull spasm that rocked around her lower abdomen. She’d been feeling these all day before she came here, but figured it was just the babies moving. By the time she got to the exit of the cavelike exhibit, she was met with Chief Luggins, who sighed.

“There you are, Madam Governor. You sure you still wanna be out here, you know, like this?” Misty pointed towards her boss’ greatly protruding belly.

Diane waved her hand dismissively as she waddled over to the chief. “I can’t stop being this state’s Governor just like I can’t stop the birth of these babies. When it’s time, it’s time. Might as well go with the flow. You should learn that sometime.”

Misty stammered. “R-right. All I’m saying is just…be really careful, okay? I’ve heard some really nasty stories about labor…and I just started watching that new show about the dragons and-“

“This isn’t Westeros, Misty. I won’t need to be cut open or anything like that. In fact, my doctor says I’m very healthy.” The fox smiled as she lead the way down the hallway towards the auditorium, a hand resting upon her stomach, another spasm tightening her stomach muscles which caused her to wince.

“I know, I know. I’m just…well, I just don’t want my boss getting hurt, ya know? Pregnancy is just something’s that’s never sat right with me. I’m never having kids, most likely.” The chief marched ahead of Diane and opened up the door to the auditorium stage, which the fox smiled and excepted.

“It’s not for everyone. But…I think this will be good for Wolf and I. It was bound to happen.” She looked back at Luggins and shrugged as the door shut between them, and the crowd cheered.

The Governor waddled across the stage, rubbing over her bump and waving her free hand as she made her way over to the podium, smiling gently, nodding her head just like most politicians would. However there was no politician in the country quite as big as she was right now…with children at least. She scanned over the room, and suddenly found a white suited canine with gold eyes leaning on the back wall, winking at her. Diane blinked and smiled warmly at Wolf, winning back before she cleared her throat.

“Welcome everyone. I hope the parking wasn’t as hectic as it is to come here normally. The 12 year old in me still marvels at all the amazing fossils they have on display here.” She held her arm against her belly as she adjusted the microphone to get it off the desk clamp, a suddenly spike in fetal movement wiggled about inside her for a moment.

Diane continued speaking despite suddenly feeling rather uncomfortable around her stomach, slowly making her way around the podium. “Displays like this are the cornerstone of keeping us educated in how life on this wonderful planet has changed over the years. We’ve got folks trying to get schools teaching kids nationwide that fixes like me and the mighty T.Rex existed at the same ti-IIME!!”

Her belly suddenly clenched and spasmed with more intensity than ever before. A deep, stinging pressure undulated within, paining the Governor enough to drop her microphone onto the stage and clutch around, holding her baby bump as it grumbled deeply. What followed was the sound of a splash, fluids spreading out from under the skirt of Diane’s dress. Seeing this, her green eyes filled with dread as she stood back up. It was happening. The crowd collectively gasped and murdered amongst one another. She just started her hour long speech, and the babies finally decided they were bored of being inside her. Her breathing began to pick up, and before she even looked in his direction, Wolf jumped onto the stage and took her by the hand, Luggins rushing over and shouting orders to Wolf on where to bring her. Diane was barely listening, lost in the feelings of her own body acting of its own will, for the first time, having no control over what was happening. These babies were coming out this very night.

“Oh…ohh oh god…Wolfy it’s happening..” Diane gasped, her voice sounding more frightened than she thought it would be.

Wolf chuckled nervously as Diane was guided into the parking lot, approaching Luggin’s police cruiser to drive Diane to the hospital. “Just breath okay, Diane? I guess they didn’t wanna hear the speech. Guess they aren’t gonna be bit into science-y stuff huh?”

Diane groaned, climbing into the back seat and rolling her eyes. “Just shut up and get these babies out of me…”

Credit for this Commission goes to the always fancy Bindy the Cat, giving us the third and final installment in the Diane series. There will be more content of her of course, but they will not be following a linear story like the past two have. I hope you all enjoy this one.
