The composition of the drawing is great, the value in shading and texture is very good. Her hair is very textural. Her bottom lip has a little too much shine could be softened a little because my eyes are immediately drawn to that shininess..The tie in her dress seems a little awkward..do you actually see the whole knot in the photograph reference you used? The eyes are very well done with great detail, which makes them realistic and very well drawn out...Try to balance the flow of the photograph so that the eye isn't always dragging right to the lip.... Amazing drawing over all...very nice job!

Sooo I'm not that great of a portrait artist so I'm not going to do an official Critique but I think you did a great job. Nailed the hair. (Hair is my worst) The shading in the face is good. The reference pic you used doesn't have any dramatic shadows cast on the face so that makes it hard to put depth into the picture but you were still able to show depth of the brow, under the eyes, jaw and chin. I believe what looks "off" is her right eye. (left on the screen) I think the left corner of it doesn't have enough arch in it? I don't know how to say what I want to say haha. Take a piece of paper and cover half of her face and the other half looks amazing. Cover the opposite half and again the uncovered half looks amazing. I think it's the eyes throwing you off. I think the portrait looks great. Much better than any of my work. I wish my shading was that smooth!

Thank you for your comment! I think you're right about that eye, I noticed something was weird with it after I had drawn it but I think I just forgot to try and fix it haha, oops

No problem! Like I said it's a great piece of work and it's a lot better than my attempts at portraits. I'm a freak for symmetry I guess so things like that pop out to me. You must be as well

Yes! Just sometimes when you've been seeing the same picture for so long it's easy to miss things that have gone wrong So I appreciate it very much when people tell me what's up lol
