Thank you. It was quite the find, it's not very big less than 10 inches tall or so.

This is becoming more and more popular in the cemetery I do most of my photographing in.The grave of a teenager near the main road is surrounded by a deer statue, two duck decoys and the statue of a dog with a lantern in its mouth. The purpose is to personalize the grave, but it makes cemetery maintenance kind of tricky.

Most of the small stuff like this that I've seen with some exceptions have actually been sitting on top of the stone iself or around the base. But yeah there are some out there that have a million little things around them, like one I saw at this same cemetery had three sets of wind chimes and several little figures, bet the ground crew loves it.

I saw a child's grave with wind chimes, a whirligig, stuffed animals, pictures - the whole nine yards.

On a child's grave I guess I expect it a bit more, but this was a married couple. I assume their children did it. However people want to remember their loved ones is fine, I guess when I saw it from a distance I expected it to be a child's grave.
