This wasn't a bad one to start with.

No and she had a good design to boot. Strangely though, netflix doesn't start with this episode. It starts with The Bubbler.

I'm guessing Netflix started with The Bubbler because that was where the other recurring characters were introduced.

Maybe. Apparently, it may be to do with production code. I saw that on the miraculous wiki.

Oh and btw, I don't have the show on Netflix because I live in Canada.

Ah, don't worry, I had to wait since I live in the UK so I didn't get it straight away. I only found it by chance when looking for new stuff.

I was introduced to the show by the ridiculous amounts of fanart on Deviantart. Lol

I got introduced to it by a artist I like on tumblr reblogging stuff for it. I think...

JackHammer86 In reply to KatLime [2017-08-20 22:27:25 +0000 UTC]

Ok. Lol

But seriously, everytime I opened my Deviantart, I would see at least one fanart of Miraculous Ladybug, and I was like what the hell is that?!

So I looked it up and found out it was a Cartoon series that many people like apparently.

After seeing more fanart for a while, I was like screw it, I'm gonna give it a try!

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-20 22:31:39 +0000 UTC]

It's a good reason. When you see loads of fanart for stuff, you do kinda want to know what the fuss is about as it has to be good for that amount.

And keep in mind, I'm in my early 20's and I was just about done with cartoon shows after seeing some of my childhood shows butchered in recent years, so this was refreshing to me.

It was kinda like this........

Me: I can't do this anymore cartoon industry! You promised me so many great things and instead you've given me nothing but pain! Goodbye Cartoon industry!

Cartoon industry: Wait! What if we give you a show about a girl and boy who fight crime dressed as a Ladybug and a Cat?

Me: Then I'm loving your shit all over again!

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-20 22:58:30 +0000 UTC]

Well, this cartoon is made by many different people, not just the usual industry.

I think the industry just isn't so good with remakes, mostly because they can't capture the magic of the original or they do it too similar and then everyone complains about that. They have plenty of ongoing/new stuff that is quite good.
I think the thing with any entertainment industry is that there is both bad and good in it.

JackHammer86 In reply to KatLime [2017-08-20 23:04:20 +0000 UTC]

Well the thing is, I haven't seen any of the popular cartoon shows today like Gravity Falls or Steven Universe, and when I said my childhood shows were butchered, I wasn't just talking about remakes, I was also talking about old cartoons that still run today like SpongeBob or Fairly Odd Parents.

But yeah, I get what you're saying.

And I'm not saying cartoon shows aren't good anymore, It's just that I wasn't into them much anymore now that I'm in my 20s.

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-20 23:14:14 +0000 UTC]

I haven't seen all of Gravity Falls and I have seen all of Steven Universe. I cannot recommend them more, they are very good shows. Granted with Steven, the first couple of episodes might be a bit tedious.

With any show, if it goes on for too long, it will eventually get worse and worse. I think with those, you just have to hope that they will just end them, hopefully on a higher note than current episodes.

Are you not so much into them because of your age and its expected for you to stop watching?
I kinda got pushed away from cartoons as a teen since they're usually thought of as for kids. I only saw more adult shows (like Family Guy) during my mid to late teens, but mostly stuck to anime. I think I was around 17 when I got back into cartoons when someone introduced me to Wakfu (a french cartoon) and then another person suggested that I try Steven Universe.

Wow, there was even a point where I was done with animated films and superhero films, but then I loved animated films again thanks to the Nostalgia Critic and AniMat. And I even went back into superhero films lately after seeing Wonder Woman in theaters!

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-21 00:02:50 +0000 UTC]

Luckily I've never really been done with animated films, although there may have been a time when I stopped seeing them in the cinema due to how expensive tickets have gotten.

I'm sure Wonder Woman makes some of those films pale in comparison. When do you think you'll get around to your top 10 list for the comic book films? Also, just a suggestion, but it would be interesting to see another list about the films you didn't like as much, kinda like with the NC did with Avatar.

JackHammer86 In reply to KatLime [2017-08-21 00:07:42 +0000 UTC]

I'm still in the watching process with my comic book films list, and I don't have that many films I find overrated.

The only ones I can think of right now are Pixar's Brave and The Dark Knight Rises.

But there are plently of films I like but everyone else seems to hate.

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-21 00:19:52 +0000 UTC]

I'm not surprised that you're still in the process. There are a lot to get through now.
And that's fair enough, if you don't find enough overrated or dislike them, maybe some dishonorable mentions, if you can't do a full list?

I get the feeling. A lot of the disney sequels are universally hated, but I can get some enjoyment out of them, while still acknowledging that they aren't very good compared to the originals.

JackHammer86 In reply to KatLime [2017-08-21 00:23:16 +0000 UTC]

I talked about all the Disney sequels in the past, and some were horrendous, others were ok, but even with that I would just skip them and stick with the classics.

But yeah I might actually do a guilty pleasure film list or something like that someday.

In fact there is one film that many people don't like that much but I actually think is a great film, which you'll see in the comic book movies list.

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-21 00:31:45 +0000 UTC]

Guilty pleasure lists are always fun to look at.

Makes me wonder if I like or dislike the film.

Only some of the films from Doug Walker's video are on it so far.

And just like his list, the films on my list I don't think are great films but I thought they were ok, like I did think they had problems but I'm still glad I saw them in a way.

Fair enough. I needed to rewatch his marvel disneycember videos. I will admit for some of his disneycember videos I agree with his opinions and others I disagree.

There are quite a few films like that.

Tbh, they didn't really pay any of them in order. Apparently, there is some sort of timeline based around how characters act towards each other (particularly Mari and Adrien. It is kinda based off speculation though.
I find this one the best timeline as it seems to make sense and they explain their choices: biminnie.tumblr.com/post/14245…

Yeah, I did notice a little error the way I watched it since I heard Jagged Stone talk about Marinette in Guitar villain before watching Numeric where Marinette makes him the glasses, and half of me was like WTF?! but the other half of me didn't care because I was still invested. Lol

KatLime In reply to JackHammer86 [2017-08-20 22:30:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. For Guitar Villain, I was like how does Mari know Jagged and why does he like her? Then seeing Numeric explained it. At least, by airing them out of order did make fans theorise the order.

It was. But there are quite few silly akumatized villains.

Some of them are very creative while others makes me laugh and say: Come on guys! No! Like how the Nostalgia Critic reacted to the dogs in the 2003 Hulk film.
