Give the modern artists a break. They probably have to throw hundreds of splash patterns on canvases just to get that right meaning of what they are looking for. That is hard and costly work...

art is 5% the art itself, 10% the artist explanation, 15% the story of the artist, and 70% who the artist knows. So many people have stories to tell, but only friends of people in high places will ever be recognized in such a way

Anybody can throw paint at a canvas. The trick is to convince people that it's full of deep meaning. That's how you get into art galleries.

Meh, to be fair; all they do is just throwing some buckets of paint on a huge canvas and call it all "Art."
When are they gonna learn how to use brushes, and do some real efforts of what art really is?Β Β Β Β

I've always believed that the statement "I don't know art, but I know what I like." sums it all up. Doesn't matter what anyone creates, as long as some on out there likes it, you can call it art.

I don't think there is anything to understand conventionally from splatters, for me it sometimes reminds me of something, or evokes particular emotions and that is what makes 'em special. Who knows! Maybe the people who like that stuff are aliens and its actually some secret code from their home-world.Β
