She’s trans yeah. It’s played off as a joke in the show which fucking sucks but she is a woman! I grew up on black butler so I can’t not enjoy it 😔😔

Same. It's just comedy really. Grell wouldn't be the same if black butler was serious, and neither would the series. And I think it wouldn't have the same appeal either. Like ok, it's just a show at the end of the day sooooo, why feel sad?? 😶

I’m trans so it hurts to see how trans people are seen as a joke yknow? and the series involves a lot of child abuse and assault. it does have a lot of comedy but at the end of the day it’s a serious show. But ur right at the end of the day it’s just a show!

Look man, it really sucks you feel that way. From the bottom of my heart, I advise you to not give a shit about how trans individuals are represented in comedy, coz comedy is brutal to everyone. My race is a laughing stock throughout the world. But like, idk, I personally just laugh along. I think we should have a good laugh on ourselves from time to time. Yea, black butler deals with a lot of dark themes, that's why Grell as whole serves as comedic relief (at least during 1st and 2nd season, other than it was very subtle as long as I rmmbr from both the anime and manga, sorry if I am wrong, my memory might be flawd, I haven't kept up with black butler in a while unfortunately) ❤
