Well I do say that those are some very fine watercolors paints you used to fill up this painting of yours.

Some of my images of Chatters are blurred when the size is increased. I didn't know that it was caused by Deviant Art.Β
I love the path, and the use of yellow for the flowers. If I saw such a path, I would walk down it to see where it went.

i'm not sure why the image would blur, I think it might have something to do with the scanning, if you scanned the picture?

yeah i did a scan but is not a problem of my scanner :[
the problem appears when you upload a jpg bigger than the size you would like to display, for example you upload a 2500px wide image and in the deviantart options for display you select show 1024 px wide..
the 1024 px wide image generated from deviantart will be blurry
so i uploaded directly a 1024px sharpen image ^_^

It's not a tropical garden however, but a trait of "Mediterranean scrub".
I guess the plants there are something like brooms, mediterranean pines and other stuff :]

I've always like the implications of the path to someplace unseen as well as the little used path that still remains. This version, with the stone, ads something to that intrigue since the stone implies that something "civilized" lies beyond or at least was the source.
If I might offer a small observation, I think it might have benefited from a greater variation in color and plants on the two sides of the path. I think that comes to mind for me because that's what I would usually see out in the real world. Β This looks more like a cultivated garden--maybe that was the intention.
Regardless, I really like the plants, layout and total impression of this one. The depth seems perfect to me (the staircase even seems to rise). Quite impressive.

I'm trying some new techniques of coloring, the actual place was a location i visited some time ago, there was this path in the middle of nothing with lots of plants and it ispired me :]
I found that displaying watercolors on the screen is sometimes difficult, the results i have on monitor after the scanning and what I can see here in real are different sometimes.. but probably i will add more contrast in future

Hopefully I didn't get overly analytical. Β I'm a software engineer and sometimes forget power down that part of my brain when I look at art.
It's funny an image jumps out like that and sticks in the brain. I know what you mean.
Cool, sounds like a useful suggestion then. I know that I like to hear other perspectives and ideas my writing, but I'm always nervous that people will take ideas negatively.
The screen definitely doesn't do justice to watercolors, but whatever you're doing seems to do as good a job as can be expected.
