Some sketches and outfit concepts to make up for the fact that I probably won't have a comic page this weekend because medical stuff!

The second 'issue' of The Modern Go-Go World' will take place during the fall/winter, so I thought it would be fun to start thinking about Freya's school outfit. Still haven't decided on one yet, but I liked how the concepts turned out!

At school, Freya is a polite student, but not a good student. She has no clue what's going on. Nazz managed to talk her into joining the cheer squad, but only because they needed someone for the bottom of the pyramid and Freya is built like a brick shithouse. She thought she would hate it, but she gets to toss her sister around and heckle the football players, so it's kind of fun.

She did get in trouble for throwing a rock at Rolf during a game once, but she claimed it was for encouragement. They both got detention when he threw it back even harder. It did not stop them from doing it again the next time.

The only classes she excels in are writing and art. Her writing teacher says, "her work is surprisingly morbid and unpleasant, but she's very enthusiastic". Her history teacher routinely has to remind her that folk tales do not count as historical events.

Her parents signed her up to compete in the junior division of the Miss Arduous Fieldworker Pageant in 1996. She only got 3rd place in the irrigation ditch-digging portion, but she got 1st place for loudest and highest-pitched herding call.
