LOVE IT! the colors are amazing and the posture is great too! It seems to me that the owl is a gnarled tree or tree trunk and the colors around it and on it are the leaves...Β

Read nearly all the books, better than the movie!
But definitely like the art and animation, and how they pulled off many of the concepts from the books.

OMG!! I love the Guardian's of Ga'hoole... I read all the books (except for the manual) and I saw the movie... but the books are a lot better than the movie, and the movie missed out a lot of important details, and added things that weren't in the books so.... (doesn't that happen to all movies XD)

I was just so annoyed with how they changed Twilight and Digger's personalities. They did not measure up to who they are in the books.
And then they even changed Otulissa's species! Not even remaining within the Strix owl family, they changed her to a Short-eared owl, Asio flammeus! I guess they wanted her to stand out more, but it's just annoying.
But you're right, it does happen to pretty much all books that turn into movies.

I know right! And they didn't even add the important part where
Soren and his friends were flying to the Ga'hoole tree but overshot
and landed with the puffins! I can't remember exactly (I read the
books so long ago!) but I'm pretty sure the puffins play a big role
at the end of the book... I usually don't re-read books but I think
I should...

Just with the way they made that movie, I don't think they'll be able to make another. It'd end up being vastly different from the books.
I got the movie for owl art/animation study, I love how they made the owls look, and the battle claws and helms. But as I watch it, I'm constantly irritated.

YES I mean, GET CORYN IN IT IF THEY MAKE A SEQUEL.Β There's no King without it being Embered, and no-owl can be Embered without the Ember of Hoole, and Hoole's tale would take too long, they wolves would have to come in...Β GAH!Β IT'S SO DAMN COMPLICATED!!
