This is a tattoo commission of raven with blues, blacks, and purples. The commissioner wanted it to have a bit of a fantasy look and to come across as more of a protector rather than sinister.Related content

This is beautiful, absolutely magnificent!
The colours work perfectly and the attention to detail is impeccable. The detail is just enough that it doesn't overpower the rest of the work and not to little to not add something to it as well.

The proportions (other than the body which looks a bit short for were the legs and the wings lie) are well done and the wings are fabulous.

This is a really good work. The use of water colours is wonderfull.
The use of the shadows on the wing is well done, but the wings just after the beak shall be a little darker.
After that i think the colours that have been use are great, i really like the top part of the wings and the feathers around the hind legs.
Finally for me the body must be a little longer, or the head a little smaller, there is a missing claw on the left leg.
This an amaizing picture at all.

I like this tattoo design, the vibrant colors of the blue, purple and gray, mesh very nicely together. The left wings look a little out of perspective, or symmetry for the tattoo. The sizes should be switched to create depth of flight. The feet are different because one has four-ish and the other has three. Texture: Adds depth enough it looks like you can touch it
Form: Definitely enhanced by color
Space &shape: Good proportions
Color: Beautiful
Value: The Value in this piece is quiet nice and very unique to the artist You have a very nice variation of lights vs dark's which adds depth to the picture
Line: Your use of lines is unique, you use them to show the direction of the feathers as well as to add detail to the overall image
I hope this helps, I've been an art student my whole life. You did very good and i'm happy with how it has turned out, you did very well especially doing it as a commission but still staying true to your own art style

If it was going to be tattooed in a place where the wings need to be condensed for the sake of space, it would still work, but I would consider looking into proportion if it was going to be put in a place where there is more room.

I think the fantasy look is down and it doesn't look sinister, but it doesn't really scream protection to me in the face. The wings do, but just not the face. But I do love it, just giving you my opinion.
