Gods, I still love this movie! After all these years, I think this was the very best ensemble in an action movie we ever got to see, and it is what sets it apart from so many others which desperately tried to be "Aliens" (not least of all DOOM).

Thank God, because we adults want horror-movies for adults (no PG-13 rated stuff)! Give me a good, hard R-rating, like ALIENS got (and no, I don't want tons of gore to earn that rating, but a frightful, suspenseful atmosphere with lots of psychological tricks on the audience

Most-to everybody who has seen the movie (That I know) is b/c they have to kill people. I think it is ridiculous. :/ I agree, they have some sort of feel to them that captures their beastliness, but they are so fast and elegant (like you said) that it is what makes the alien a great horror figure.

No, it was an already finished model (I'm no good at model-building). As it also seems to be quite rare, I'm really happy with it.
And yes, aren't xenomorphs the coolest movie-monsters ever?

By far the coolest! I was super young when those movies came out... I may not have been born when ALIEN came out... but I definitely have an appreciation for the films. Even the terrible sequels that have come out over the years. (Alien VS. Predator Requiem? Best movie ever, yet best way to spend Christmas night, 2007!) ha!
Nope, I checked. Alien is from '82. I was born in '87! Wow. Ha! Yeah, good times, indeed. I love a lot of the art work of H. R. Geiger.

The first to Alien films were the best by far, 3 tried to force us back into the Alien film, Ripley running form a xenomorph after kicking ass with soldiers and guns.
And ressurection....Well, the film astounded me with it's badness frankly.
AvP wasn't a bad film...per se, the story was pretty good, it was just executed badly. AvP Requim. I felt ill walking out of the cinema

Yeah, I totally agree. The first two were great. I did make my peace with the third one (especially the long cut) even though it was not what I would have liked to see, but David fincher is still a very good director. I like the bleak, hopeless beginning of Alien 4, but it went downhill very quickly and didn't bring anything new to the table.
I only watched the AVPs because of my fondness for the two monsters, which were well done. I certainly didn't watch them for the humans or the *gasp* story, so I wasn't disappointed (didn't expect anything).

I finally got round to watching AvP Requim a few days ago. It was like Hollyoaks with aliens and minimal gore and horror
You know it's bad when 2 teens are making out beside a pool, 3 kids show up and start bullying them, they fall into the pool and a Xenomorph jumps in as well o_O

Amen! Alone the thought of pitting Aliens against teenagers gives me the shivers! The onyl cool thing was the predator; they found a guy who moved very well, I think. Otherwise... bleeeh! :-P

The alien movies were the first horror that I ever saw. Now I've recently (two days ago) watched them all again, and I must say, they do amaze me every time.
In my opinion the first 3 and the first AvP movies are the best. The last ones... not so great.

Yeah...I live AvP...I love the "Alien" that got his tail cut off..the most beaten up one...and he dies at the end in the explosion...I don't Like AvPR...predalien could've look better.... + the movie wasn't as smart as the 1st

I liked to play the games for the atmosphere, but as for the movies, I love the first two Alien-movies and that's it. The rest was weaker, I think.
