Ok, this is someone with some mystified water element power....drew cos i was bored...well, everything i draw is outta boredom...

no you can use anything... even paint. The idea ia basically just using the paintbrush tool on a 1-pixel size and drawing everything like that, with a little bit of flood fill here and there to fill in bigger parts. You do all your shading and everything by hand. It's a lot of work.
