I bet me uploading a piece of Sonic fan art wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card! It was such an impulse move, but I enjoyed it.

I haven’t drawn a Sonic character since I was little and I was recently reminded of this character a couple days ago, so I decided to give it a crack to see how I would approach the style now. I will say, I spent a lot of time moving parts of the sketch to get the proportions right. It’s so easy for this style to look off in some way, so I tried to stay attentive to the reference. I feel like Shard turned out more chibi-ish than I would of liked, but this is probably the best attempt I’ve made thus far, that’s for sure.
