Description This is my version of J.R.R. Tolkiens Tom Bombadil.

As I read about him the first time I thought he is a ridiculous figure. Allways laughing and singing clowny songs. The only thing I liked about him was that he could be summoned by some kind of magic spell.
Years later I listen to a german radio play and got a whole different impression of Tom Bombadil. The interpretation of Tom by the actor was awsome. They used the originals lines from the book. The actor played Tom as a laughing but also serious being. Who can been summoned and than fights mith the power of magic rhymes against wights.
If you are german or understand german and have the chance to listen to this radio play you should. Maybe you will agree with me that Tom is a MoFo.
I hope you like it.

" Get out, you old wight! Vanish in the sunlight!
Shrivel like the cold mist, like the winds go wailing,
Out into the barren lands far beyond the mountains!
Come never here again! Leave your barrow empty!
Lost and forgotten be, darker than the darkness,
Where gates stand for ever shut, till the world is mended. "

A great image of Tom Bombadil! I think your impression is right... Tom is a being of ancient power and can be aggressively powerful when the need arises, despite being usual jolly!

Great job! Setting and lighting are fantastic! You nailed the stars and lightning glow. Yes, Tom was a powerful entity, sadly overlooked in every film adaptation. Most people who aren't familiar with the lore would have been amazed to see the Ring unable to affect Tom. That scene in the book, on film would have been great, Tom looking through the Ring, putting it on and staying visible. Good job on this piece! Apply for the job if any studio ever attempts another animated Hobbit/Lotr film.
