Description
AU History: An old friend of Edward’s from back on the Furness Railway, his name is Eagle due to having the personality of one, and an old friend of Edward's who came with he and few other Furness engines to help build the railway, and one of the first few bought by Mr Bertram Hatt (The Fat Director). He was also known for being the engine who once tried to push Henry out of a tunnel once but failed despite his efforts. Throughout the 20s well into the early forties, Eagle had worked hard whilst slowly repainted into the same red liveries NWR No.5 James would later gain. Then in 1946 he was given a special Heritage Livery to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Furness Railway as the NWR's 25th engine... He was also given the name 'Winston Arthure' (After the railway's first Architect). Whilst proud of his new name, he still prefers to be called Eagle to this day, as he now runs the Kirk Ronan Branch as its finest engine, sharing Mixed Traffic trains with No.23 Molly.
Most engines don't usually see him nowadays, but one time he unintentionally spooked James (Who first thought somebody cloned him!)
(Now the Unnamed Red engine has always been a fandom character since they first appeared in the Dalby illustrations of The Three Railway Engines, and been the subject of debate amongst fans for years already, notably names. Eagle of course has always been my favourite of the most, though I always thought another L&YR Class 28 exactly alike James whilst a great thing for most fans, in my mind wouldn't be something I'd much prefer. My take has him be a Furness Railway D5 Class, modified similar to James, whilst also making much better sense for him being another of Edward's old friends, since he too was of the Furness. Plus his namesake is, also bit of a good nod to
