This is soo cool! You get some of the most fantastic opportunities there! Another reason for me to consider moving to Cali.

lol...yeh, mostly. There are some, like in anything else, I could do without but you take the good with the bad.

The aggressive one was an adult...not the longest, but, boy was it thick! I, too, am much more aware of where I put my feet and when I'm gardening I use longhandled tools to prod around FIRST!

OMG!!! I am not a huge fan of snakes, but his patterns are beautiful. He is so small, but I bet he can protect himself pretty well. I'm glad your husband found a new home for him elsewhere.
Since he is in a jar, did you have to take the top off to get this fantastic photo?

BEAUTY-full colouring ruth! think maybe cuz new/baby/fresh? even the jar looks cool! *.* my dad came in one day feeling kind of sickish and my ma saw 2 little black holes in his leg! i guess diff x of year/age = diff amounts of poison... i agree tho... none = the best! around here we have a $40/yr helecopter-ambulance insurance thing? you might want to check into... tho maybe in the 20 min it would take you to call get them to come and then go somewhere you could already be in town taking care of bizness! gak! i don't even like to TALK about it! (superstitious knock knock *.*) ...

Well, all the actual work is done - just the maintenance now...pruning and watering so hopefully that's still enough activity to encourage them to slither elsewhere!

I'm not too keen on it either, but the alternative is not to have a garden...they live here (in the area) and hopefully will soon recognize that we live here now (the house was empty for about a year) and will move on!

They're very beautiful.. but I don't think I would want them around my yard. Be very careful!!

This little bitty thing wouldn't have enough to bother with! Now the other...that one was big and FAT! We thought about roasting it but the idea came after it had been dead for the day...
