thanks! it was a really short day - wasn't supposed to be but we missed a turn found a really pretty road and that cut in to the day by an hour or so and then there'd been a death in the park workers and no one was too happy and there was an unexpected dinner meeting so we couldn't stay for a bbq like we'd thought, but we had fun

we missed the left hand turn that takes you up over the ridge to 395 (I think that's the number) and kept going straight...we went along a river, over some pass, by a couple lakes we eventually stopped and looked at some people's map and realized if we kept going we'd end up in Stockton so we back tracked the 15 miles and made the turn we'd decided wasn't correct because Google Maps had it going the wrong way
