Thanks! We only spent a couple hours here and at the lighthouse while driving through - have got to go back for more

Definitely. There are some awesome trials/hikes too, if you like walkabouts.

The trials should be drier by then too. I went in August, and there were still quite a bit of flowers and Alamere Fall was still spectacular. It has been a drier year in general though.I hope you have a good time : )

I love the composition of this shot, it's just right. It would be interesting to be there at sunrise or sunset, I bet it would be amazing.

Wish I had some words of enlightenment or encouragement for you but we'd be in the same position if we hadn't made such major changes 31/2 years ago and even those didn't completely make for "all rainbows and unicorns"...
(by the way- how is your wife doing?)

My wife is doing great.. she doesn't have a job anymore but shes gettting unemployment so there's some income anyway... right now I'm pretty much in the situation where I can get on medicare in 2 years.. well really 1 1/2 but shes a year younger.. so when we both get that.. I will consider packing it in..so hard to figure.. but I am so tired of the daily grind...oh well..maybe lotto will pull me out !

I'm glad to hear she's all well, or at least doing great! Not having a job is challenging - my husband was unemployed for over a year...thank goodness for the unemployment. He was rear-ended a few months ago which has wrecked havoc with his fused neck (resulting from a head-on with a drunk 12 years ago) and that is making him not sure if he can continue his current job but we'll see...at least this time the driver was working AND the company is well insured - unlike the drunk driver who only had CA minimum...
the daily grind with a long commute is an even worse scenario...

Yea.. that must be tough for your husband.. hard enough to work when you feel ok...
