(woah, somehow I missed these comments!) the green is browning fast, sadly...all the grass has seeded and the poppies are almost done Β  This grass has been cleared (fire clearance) so the deer aren't coming as close to the house...

Bryan's being good - he's leaving the areas with the heaviest poppies alone for another few weeks...but clearance has to be done by June 1st...Β

Thats so saddddddddddddd.Β  I asked larry to leave me a few dandelions and he promised he would not spray them all.....embarrassing when I have to go to the neighbors to ask for theirs

We have surprisingly few dandelions! Β The poppies will be gone fairly soon if we don't get any more rain - and if we do then the grasses will grow more too! Β The flowers are already getting lost in the seeding grasses... and even if those right next to the house are cleared we still have lots on the rest of the hills
