I agree but it's a big 'ol Nikon with a 300mm lens...I know I need to carry my little Olympus point and shoot but that lives in my purse!

Very cool. Hope you get pics of the little ones I have pictures of one from years ago at my mom's that had climbed into a fig tree to munch a bit, and another from one of the Channel Islands. Be super careful not to leave any cat food outside.

Just remember that foxes climb too...
As I said, I found the first one up "in" my mom's fig tree. And once they have been fed, they beg almost as insistently as a dog used to scraps from a dinner table. If you put out a fig, at least that is something the cats are not attracted to, so you are not putting the cat at any greater risk, but I wouldn't put anything out, except maybe water, which would bring all kinds of creatures closer.
