wow, do you take these shots by a local forest or at some form of a zoo? Your shots are amazing... Wish i could fave 'em all but you have over 1.6k ...

These, of the bobcat, deer, bugs and snakes, are actually IN my yard We live in a very rural area with a large cattle ranch that surrounds our property.

There are some from zoos (lion and tiger types) but we're lucky to have lots of interesting creatures around to photograph!

I appreciate all the faves I know I have a huge gallery, but I find myself referring back to older images and I keep getting faves and comments from way back so I can't make myself delete them Guess you'll just have to add me to your "watch" list and see what new comes up

The most i find in my yard is a spider, a few birds, rabbits, frogs/lizards, and if lucky i see deers or my cat...

I live in a suburban place so i don't get as much access to nature like you.....

I added you to my watch a loooooong time ago..

Well you've got a good selection too! More than what I grew up with, lol We've got jack rabbits in the "neighborhood" but they don't like to pose and they're not as cute as the cottontails

Thanks for the long time watch

I'm pretty good at remembering watcher names that I chat with...did you change your user name?

AbstractisEverything In reply to kayaksailor [2012-08-15 19:59:24 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but my collection is very limited and they are all small and hard to notice....

I never changed my user name.... I think i added somewhat a year ago maybe... cuz you were one of the first photographers i added...

Are bobcats common in your area, Ruth?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kayaksailor In reply to Althytrion [2012-02-07 02:18:03 +0000 UTC]

They live around here and are probably more common than we know/see...If I were to count I'd say we've had maybe a dozen sightings in almost four years.

my husband ended up late leaving for work 'cuz he kept wanting to watch (and he didn't want to disturb the kitty as he would have to drive right past where the cat was to get up to the road)

kayaksailor In reply to Cmac13 [2012-01-31 20:07:48 +0000 UTC]

not so many mice - that we're aware of anyway but lots of pocket gophers! And now that we keep our cats indoors all the time the gophers are taking over
