A very striking image and the composition is perfect, good one !

I can't help thinking though that the cobweblike threads below the caterpillar would be better cloned out

Thanks for the input - I don't think I even thought about it because these little guys MAKE so many of these webs that it is part of my view of them but you are right! I'm thinking of printing this for a camera club print competition so I'll clone them out before hand, and change out this image if I do...

thanks, too, for the compliments and fave

I understand I've really been kind of enjoying the cool - we've had a mass explosion of little flying bugs...and one (not mosquito) that bites me leaves a huge itchy welt that lasts for almost a week!

whoa.....what kind of insect was that? We went out for a shoot the other night and I forgot the reverse angle trick because it was a little cool out and while we were waiting for the sun to set all kinds of mosquitoes landed on the windshield because it was warm. I could of had a real nice shot of a few.

it's some kind of "no see 'em" black fly We'd have them occasionally down south... what a great idea of getting them on the glass!

thanks! I'd been playing with the closeup shot when the sun went down behind the clouds so I put it on the fence to let it go and then got enthralled with the light in the fuzz I kept kind of hoping for a bird to come along and let me catch it while it was "catching" dinner but no luck
