Description Well, I sat down and pulled out a favorite Disney movie of mine. Three guesses on which one it was. XD Well, during the scene where Bambi and his mother are heading towards the meadow, I remembered my OC that I thought of a few years ago. I know most people have a deer/rabbit/skunk original for Bambi, but the first thing my mind ended up thinking of was a wolf.

It had all started when Thumper and Bambi went out on one of their usual explorations as youngsters when they bumped into her. Rather... she jumped out in hopes that she could play with them, but Thumper simply screamed and ran away. Bambi, however, was a little more curious than frightened. The pup introduced herself as Clover, and after a brief explanation of everything, there was a certain bond that was formed between the three of them. Five, once Flower and Faline was included. Clover proved to be a valuable addition to the group whenever problems with Ronno arose, and she even frightened the brutish fawn off once or twice. However, all good things had to come to an end. When the adult years rolled about, each animal going his or her separate way, Clover became the wolf she was always meant to be. A hunter. A killer. A carnivore. She had brought down several deer in her lifetime, bucks, does, and fawns alike. Now, how would she react to meeting her old friend again?
----------------------------------------------
Blood pounded in her ears as the sense of the hunt overcame her, and Clover felt saliva flood her mouth. Downwind from a meaty-looking buck, she remained crouched in the underbrush of the forest to keep out of sight, every muscle in her body tense. Granted taking on the large male herself was not the best course of action, but once she let out the signal, the pack would appear in a matter of seconds. Then, they'd have to realize how useful she was! Finding a prize such as the buck would earn her eternal respect, and that's all she ever really wanted.
Clover shut her emerald eyes for a moment, sucking in a deep breath to steady her racing nerves. Okay, three... two... one..., she counted down mentally before allowing herself to spring forward, jaws parted with a growl. Luck must have been in her favor that day for she landed squarely upon the deer's haunches and instantly sunk her fangs past the short, brown fur.
The buck, whose back had been turned, swiftly spun around with a heated snort as the pain of the wolf's teeth burying themselves into his flesh registered. He reared up, shaking his head with an agonized bellow, then began bucking furiously in an attempt to shake off his attacker. It only took a few, harsh kicks to loosen the wolf's grip.
Warm blood stained the white fur of her chin as she shot her prey a fearsome glare, and a deep snarl rumbled in her chest. The key to surviving this was to keep moving. The stag kept on trying to crush her beneath his sharp hooves or goring her with those deadly antlers. Fleet of foot, Clover danced left and right with a chorus of taunting barks; she would wear him out a little then summon the pack.
"BAMBI!" a horrified voice shouted from the bushes, and the head of a frightened, gray hare popped out, his amber eyes wide with shock.
"Wait, what?" The she-wolf froze at the sound of the call, a grave mistake on her end. Soon, she felt herself go flying through the air before crashing into the bushes with a yelp that was born from more surprise than pain. Bambi. Where had she heard that name before?
"Get out of here, Thumper! It's a wolf!" the buck commanded as he began to break through the shrubbery, trying to reach the assailant to ensure that it would be chased off. Thumper did not need to be told twice, and he dashed off in search of help.
Bambi... and Thumper, Clover mused while still laying upon her back. Ah ha! Bambi and Thumper, of course! As she scrambled to a stand, the line of foliage broke in front of her eyes, and she glanced up into the furious eyes of the deer.
"Bambi, wait, wait!" she cried, just narrowly avoiding those pounding hooves. "Stop! It's me! It's me!"
Springing back into the small clearing, her chest heaving as she gasped for breath, Clover watched cautiously as the stag slowed his attempts to crush her and stepped out of the brush himself. The rage in his eyes had faded away to be replaced by suspicion and slight curiosity. That light fur. Those glowing, green eyes. Why did this wolf--this murderer--seem so familiar?
"Who are you?" he questioned, the tone of his voice rich and dominant.
"Bambi," the wolf said, "it's me. Clover. Don't you remember?"
"Clover..." the prince replied slowly. Now, he remembered. "... You've grown."
She chuckled nervously as her ears folded back. "So have you." There was a moment's pause between the two of them during which the wolf shuffled her forepaws over the earth as she silently tried to clear most of the blood from her jaws. "I'm sorry about the bite. If I had realized it was you, I... I wouldn't have done it..."
"It's okay," Bambi replied nonchalantly, trying to mask the painful throb in his hindquarters. Dang, wolves had sharp teeth! "It'll heal."
It was so awkward to face the deer she had once been such good buddies with. Now that she was looking at him, all she could remember were the others of his kind that she had devoured so readily. What if it had been a deer Bambi had known? Shame washed over Clover, making her whine in the back of her throat.
"Oh, Bambi... I-I'm so sorry. It's just that... well, I'm a hunter now, and that's what I do. I-I just feel so ashamed that I attacked you...! All you deer look the same to me now! It-It's instinct, I tell you. N-No prior thoughts. Just actions."
"I understand, Clover," he mumbled. It was the way of the forest. Besides, he had seen the leftover carcasses of his species abandoned by hunters who had finished them. He knew very well the damages a killer could do.
"I feel so guilty..." she whispered, hanging her head.
Lowering his snout, Bambi nudged the she-wolf gently. "Don't be. It isn't entirely your fault... but you need to go."
"What? Why?"
"Because I'll be forced to treat you like I'm supposed to treat every hunter in this forest. Go, Clover, before it comes down to that. I don't want to hurt you anymore than you want to hurt me."
Remorse laced his voice, and saddened comprehension could be seen reflecting in the wolf's gaze. Both creatures knew they were on opposite sides of the spectrum, and the friendship they had so many years ago would never be revived. It was the way of predators and prey. Clover couldn't make any promises that she would not come after Bambi again, especially not when her pack was in tow. All she could do was hope that maybe one day, they would meet again and in a less hostile manner at that. Ears and tail low, the she-wolf disappeared into the forest, and she clung to the shadows that camouflaged her so that Bambi would not be able to see her pause... and look back.

well uh...more artwork based on it would be nice, future meetings perhaps? maybe even some when they were younger and still friends? I especially would like to see clover chasing after Ronno when they were kids...maybe even as adults too. [evil smirk] might even make a whole bunch of stories for it, that kinda ways.

Oh, yes, I've thought about it, but I never got around to searching for linearts/bases in order to do so. But hey, since people seem to like this picture, I'll probably get on the ball with working on more. :3
