-Slight Blood Warning-
I'm not sure it really needs a mature tag, but if it does, just let me know.


This is of 's character Ghariki and my character Jawara. It's supposed to take place right after the take over of the Flatlands Pride, but I wasn't sure whether Ghariki started taking over the prides as an adolescent (meaning right after taking over after his father's passing) or if he started later as an adult. Decided to make them adults since, well, I already drew them as adults and then got the idea of having it take place during the take over after I finished coloring them. x3

Anyways- Jawara had to kill many of the young cubs that were in the area at the time of the attack, as ordered by Ghariki. Because he followed his orders and has stayed loyal to him since cubhood (though Jawara hasn't had much of a choice), Ghar gives Jawara a position as an overseer of the slaves.

;--; I love this, Kay! You really got Ghariki spot-on, and I love Jawa's expression - he looks conflicted, as if he doesn't want to look Ghar' in the eye after what he's done. I love how soft the lines look, too, you do a nice job of semi-realism with their bodies/paws especially.


And sorry I didn't reply right away, I'm struggling to catch up with messages the last few days with everything going on (almost done, whew).Ā 


Thank you so much again. <3 I'll have to draw them sometime soon in-between commissions/prizes, I love Jawara's design, and I feel so bad for him. I think he could play some awesome roles in plots further down the line. >3Ā

Oh- how long would you say it's been since Ghar took over? Been working on the background for my Southern Pride lioness and am trying to match it up to the actual events. Won't be posting her until whoever is taking over for the pride finalizes info and they approve her. x3

He probably took over not too long ago - I'd say his father maybe passed away seven or eight moons/months ago? After that, he took over the Marsh and Flatlands prides. :3Ā

I'm so glad you like it! I learned recently from this animation book I got about scanning art from your sketchbook and how to color using those lines (without having to redraw the whole thing). And since I've always liked how my drawings in my sketchbook looked vs my drawings drawn digitally- I started coloring them that way.
Also been learning more about anatomy while watching 's livestreams.

It's alright- it is what it is (as my husband always says hehe). Life always finds a way to get in the way of things. haha Like I should technically being putting away dishes and cleaning the house at the moment- but I just don't feel well enough to do anything productive, so I've been laying around using the computer instead. lol x3

And your welcome! That'd be awesome to see Jawara drawn by you! I just love your art. I can't wait to start roleplaying him, he's turned into such an awesome character for one I didn't have any plans for when I originally drew him a few days ago. haha

I need to remember how to do that ... I used to do that all the time (traditional sketches/lines, digital art). It has such a different look/style, it looks so fresh and has so many elements of the sketch stage still (which I love, because I think it has more motion in general). I just ... have to remember how to do traditional art again. xD It's been so long.Ā 


And Nadia is one of my personal favorite artists. <3 Amazing, amazing work.

Yeah- I love how the lines look. Rough and sketchy yet has a smoothness to it that I could never seem to replicate with any of my digital brushes. If I actually took the time to scan all my art, I'd have tons more art in my gallery. x) I doodle all the time. My teachers would usually get homework back with drawings on them as well back in High School. lol

She's one of mine too. <3 Always love seeing when she posts new art and being able to catch her livestreaming. x3
If I had the money, I'd commission her in a heartbeat.

Decided to do those darn dishes a few minutes ago- internet decided to stop working and I had nothing better to do. Funny how it decided to work again right after I finished doing them. lol xD

I'd love to do some RP over notes at some point. It's been years since I've last been a part of a group for RPing (*cough*On Neopets*cough*), so I might be a bit rusty. haha x3

I think that's it precisely. Digital lines look too smooth, and ... well, digital. Even with the brushes that are supposed to duplicate pencil textures. And you should totally scan in your sketches and put them all in a big sketch dump sometime. x) That's awesome, I wish I did that more (I used to in school as well, lol xD).


:nod nods!: She makes it look so easy and simple on livestream, lol. xD She knows instinctively how to do everything. I'm still very much at the 'trial and error' phase of art.


And LOL. The dishes knew. They wanted to be cleaned. >> They made a deal with your Internet modem.Ā 


And no worries. ;3 I haven't RPed Lion King stuff in ages, most of mine in the last few years has been fantasy/human/elves. So I'm kind of rusty as well. xDĀ
