This isn't really my style but oddly enough it's probably one of my most fave's you have in your gallery. I guess there is just something about the emotional quality to this piece. There seems so much emptiness and longing and yet she could be looking towards new beginnings.
I looked on the background photographer's site and from what I can see, you really did quite a bit of work to change the background with the gate etc.

I think you also have a good balance with a lighter sky and darker ground and her set basically smack dab into the middle of it all. I love the barren or dead trees and all those twigs.

Once more the artist uses stark tonality and autumnal landscapes along with stark figures to create at once a work which though initially might appear empty, holds within it levels of complexity that rely heavily on well placed shading and item placement. Through the utilization of pastoral scenery the artist almost hints at a dystopic representation of victorian romanticism, a land night bright and cheerful, but not necessarily dark and foreboding. Rather it would appear more like a commentary on the internal dialogue that might have existed in an area so much beloved in modern times. The use of the artist's characteristic autumnal tonality and subject matter maintains it's charm and appears refreshing each time it is utilized as a sort of trademark of her ability. Blending is once more superb with seamless integration of manipulated.

There is nothing like the sensation of being surrounded by the most captivating scenery. It makes you wish she'd toss off her hat and just spiral in circles with her hands above her head. lol ...but this moment really brings a smile to my face.
