Kakashi could see Midori's lack of self confidence at that moment, and he couldn't bear the thought of her believing she didn't affect anyone's lives, that she was just a shadow, like her Genjutsu. She had helped on numerous occasions, and had almost died defeating Sound Shinobi at one point. She was far from unimportant.

So he acted, he stepped towards her and gently wrapped his arms around her, one palm pressing into the gap between her shoulder blades and the other hand gently cradling her head, and his masked face nuzzling into her hair as he pulled her into a half-hug, giving her the option to break from it if she didn't feel comfortable.

"You really don't get it?" Kakashi asked, his eyes closed as the bright sunlight lit up the room, casting a shadow over half their forms.

"K-Kakashi-kun, what are you-" Midori started, her eyes wide and her hands glued firmly to her side, unsure how to act, unsure how to take this new development. However her question was interrupted as Kakashi began to speak again.

"You are important...At least, you are to me..." Kakashi admitted, his heart thumping in his chest as he opened one of his eyes, and looked down at the tufts of green hair his masked lower face was currently hidden in. "Okay?"

This is my first successful attempt at a manga page! I wanted to make it simple, and adorable, but still full of life and emotion. I hope I achieved that! Also, this is my first attempt at Traditional shading using a fine liner, I'm rather proud of it, for my first attempt!
