It's a made up one (like how many of us make up our own experiments). It's origin is bagpipes, yep. It's piercing sound of it's pipes drives away enemies and forces them to surrender. i think it's a pretty cool idea.

The holes are so she can make the bag-pipey music like on the real instrument. Air flows over the holes to produce the sound.
