I think next time I test this tutorial out, I will use colors closer to the gray range rather than the bright range. But it was fun nonetheless even though it's not that good. Decent for a first try, me thinks. If you care to know, I used it here: [link] Thanks for putting this up!

Your tutorial is amazing! It was really helpful - I'd tried to do this sort of thing before but it had never really worked. Also there was the slight problem that I am a Photoshop n00b. Well-versed in drawing in Corel Painter Essentials 4, but hopeless when it came to the bounty of effects provided by PS. Your tutorial was comprehensive and inspiring! I used this technique in a card for the SCUBA instructor who helped me get my advanced certification!
