Lucius is maybe cold and serious but if it comes to Draco he often very overprotectiv even if it's his faultand Draco is always refering to hi sfather so I think this version of these two is way more realistic than all these abuse fanfictions just because so many Draco fans wanting an excuse fo his shitty behavior. Good job it's such a sweet scene ^^

I do believe Lucius and Narcissi spoil Draco and may taught him some stupid stuff and Lucius is shown as a very strict father but I have to agree with you, Lucius really does care for his son. I mean in Prison of Azkaban and Deathly Hollows it is shown that his parents especially Lucius care!
