I am really pleased with this shot. I was walking into the city to get some shots of the fireworks and passed the spot that I took a Sunset Powerlines [link] . As with most of the country, there have been bushfires all day in the hills, providing an excellent sunset. I had to keep walking to get to the city on time but about ten mins after this the sun was a blood red ball in the sky...Unlike the first Sunset Powerlines, I have only increased the colouring slightly in this one.

I know how hard it is to not include powerlines in skyline pictures, but you've used it as an advantage, all those lines and curves Strong and lovely colors as well! Great job

Beautiful tones mixed with intriguing geometry.... I especially love the vaninshing point on the lines heading down and to the left... also like the silhouette of the foliage at the bottom.

you have all reasons to be please with this shot. The telephone lines are making a lot of diagonal lines in the picture, which makes it a lot more interesting to look at, they add "movement" to it. The color contrast is absolutly PERFECT! The clear blue, against those beautiful orange tones...
