errr, it's originally done for CGTalk's Daily Sketch Group forum, topic 'Apollo' with the time limit of 50 minutes. When I reached my 50 minute mark I thought, hm this has a potential, so I spent way too many hours more working on this. I couldn't really bear painting this for much longer, because I seem to have a very short attention span, or something. Anyway yes, it's a bit cheesy, but hey, it was only an overworked sketch. I'm sure there's some sloppy parts in this, something I would fix had I more patience.So yes, this is Apollo, god of the silver bow, distant deadly archer, the eternal kouroi etc. etc. It's kinda funny yet disturbing how he ended up looking more like a Las Vegas male stripper than a Greek god, but ah well.

EDIT: due to many comments/crits I enlarged his head and expanded the right side of the canvas a bit.. and that's not without a lot of prodding from Oz XD

Well judging from all the women (and men) he got in the myths, Apollo very well may have looked like a Vegas stripper.

It's funny, in a way I think artists like hit the 'market' at the right time when they first emerged as the digital painting world was relatively under-developed. The you that is now would have given her a run for her money if you were doing this sort of thing back then (instead of those AWESOME GOTHY PICTURES - I still loved those xD so not talking bad about them at all).
Of course she is amazing and though she has vanished, only got exponentially better, so I am not at all dissin' her. But it's an interesting thought, no?
You also get exponentially better as you grow, which is something I like about you. Some artists get stuck and I guess they don't seem to continue to develop anymore, and are happy with that

Oh yes looking back on her early works she wasn't so good, but then who is? Everyone has to start somewhere and just before she vanished her works are amazing.
I still love the gothiness, I just dont' want to limit myself to just genre, that's all!
I could also say the same about your art, my dear. You have such an exquisite sense of detail, I dont' know how you manage to stay on one piece for so long...my attention span doesn't seem to stretch that far. I still wonder how you manage to do some of the things you do, you must work really, really hard (and I know I should, too

hehe! Well it is well deserved, you have really grown!
I am sad that Enayla vanished (seems because of the drama, but I wonder if she got sick or something, or work). Okay method-drama aside, her work was always beautiful and inspiring anyway!
It probably helps that I am insane lol...and I juggle pieces atm which means I don't get bored as easily of one or two.
