Description
[DECLASSIFIED INFORMATION] (Secret Unlockable Character 2 – Sub-Boss)
Name: Calypso?; William Sparks
Vehicle: Minion, advanced tank
Drive: Entitlement
Bio:
A mysterious man with long crimson hair, a burnt visage, and a grim grin, has invited himself to Calypso’s tournament. Oddly enough, this man claims to be Calypso himself. Even with no prior history or records, save for a name and a report of a car accident, he has somehow acquired highly classified and highly advanced military-grade weaponry. While he doesn’t seem to care for exposing the tournament, he’s surely hellbent on facing Calypso personally.
Intro:
"My twisted 'twin' here cobbled this quaint little empire together using MY property, MY power. And he thinks he can get away with it! Hahaha... No. No, I'm afraid that's not how this works. That fool, Black, may have failed, but I will not."
Note from Calypso Industries:
“I’m not a fan of identity theft, Mr. Sparks, and I don’t find any of these accusations or any of this rambling to be funny.”
Interlude:
The burned man made quick work of the competition. Noticing a camera drone, he climbed out of his tank with a bag over his shoulder. Making sure he was in clear view, he dug into his bag, tossing out a few heads. Calypso watched the feed from his tower, strangely repulsed at the sight of the heads rolling along the ground. Sights like these were common in Twisted Metal, but he recognized these victims. The burned man then mockingly lifted up a clown mask to his grinning face. It was similar to Sweet Tooth’s, but not quite the same. Calypso got up to make preparations.
Ending:
“Four kings in a deck,” the burned man explained as he waltzed into Calypso’s office, “now two jokers, one red, one black. But there can only be one winner. And you know the rules. Now give me what’s mine.” Calypso couldn’t maintain the façade any longer. “Consider this,” he retorted, “you’ve been so focused on me that you’re missing the bigger picture, the reason I’ve done all this.” Calypso gestured at his trophy collection. The burned man rubbed his chin, then turned to Calypso, snickering. “I know what you’re trying to do... but you have a point. A proposition then...” He stretched out a boney hand. The two seemed to be at an understanding. They both knew the other couldn’t be trusted, but neither one could afford to throw away all the possibilities that now laid before them. Calypso reached out to shake his hand, but the burned man quickly pulled back, wagging his finger. “First, give me back what you stole.” Calypso asked how he knew his new partner wouldn’t simply make off with his reclaimed treasure. “Well then,” the burned man smiled, “we’ll get to play round two of this little game with the tables turned. Or is that too much of a challenge for you?” Calypso gave a smirk of irritation and amusement. As the two finally shook hands, a dark energy slithered from Calypso to the burned man. When it was done, the stranger suddenly disappeared, his laughter echoing through the room. Calypso then walked to his front window, looking out at the world as he delightedly imagined what was to come.

Alright, DeviantArt. It's 10/1, at least on the East Coast, so gimmie dat poison apple! You can't tell me Calypso isn't spooky! #DrawtoberPart1
Ahem... So I took a page from TM4 and “Harbor City” and made TM2 Calypso both playable and a rival to the current Calypso. Then I tossed him in Minion cus I’m not feeling the Nuke Mobile. I picture Minion looking high tech and otherworldly, with strange markings and transparent sections that reveal a flowing lava-like energy. As for Calypso... I don’t think I did his face much justice, but I tried. I think he should be the sub-boss (albeit with his identity hidden until he’s unlocked), but between having both Calypso and Quatro on the roster, and having both Minion and Warhawk be the bosses, I might be retreading too much old ground. Idk, screw it. Rule of Cool.
