Description
A phoenix-type creature being reborn from the ashes. Part phoenix, part "heat bird" from slavic folklore, I suppose.And don't complain about wacky poses or unrealistically folded wings. If there's a moment when anatomy should be allowed to fly out the window, it's when the creature is being reassembled in a flash of fire from its own burned remains. Seriously.

I'm sorry, I hope you don't get angry at me, but... everything is pretty great except for the fact that I think the wings are backwards.

Well, the pose is pretty twisty, but how do you figure they're backwards?

now that I study it again, I'm pretty sure that it's correct (I think)
I thought so because the bird's head was facing forward, the wings should be facing forward
(lol and I'm pretty sure that birds can't really fly or bend their wings upward like that)

but eh, I don't really draw birds well anyway so I'm probably just wrong, 'cause it's supposed to be a fantasy picture and on second look I could see it as being right.

If it helps, I think the wings bent completely upward, and there's some perspective in play - say, the wing at the back is spread out flatly, while the wing to the front is at an angle towards the viewer. Maybe.
