Description Based on a scene from Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

Part of the wonderful 'let's take random passages from the book and interpret them in as shippy a way as possible' game.

What's that, Crowley? Are you implying you *want* to be able to feel love?

I do believe that this ship is sort of hidden canon. I mean it's there for us who are willing to see it. But I mean if you don't like that stuff then of course you turn a blind eye and just interpret it as really good friendship but we all know the truth. XD

Bloody adorable. I think you've pursuaded me to ship this.

Dang, that's two people in one day. I'm getting good at this 'recruitment for the cause' thing.
(Another person told me today that they'd read the book 15 times and ignored the ship for years, but my drabble 'Endearments' finally convinced them otherwise. Muahaha.)

Yep, that's the song I was thinking to reference. Glad you liked it. ^^ Now go and read all the fics.

Crowley. Seriously. Aziraphale is completely oblivious. He is not getting it. You're really going to have to be more direct.

...

Oh God, what have I done.

Yeah, the book reads even more hilariously if you assume that Crowley is nursing a huge crush on Aziraphale the entire time and is afraid to admit it even to himself.

I actually did a silly post on this a while back: [link]

...Why? What have you done?

Sister-to-the-Queen In reply to Kaytara [2012-08-10 20:10:34 +0000 UTC]

*doink* I absolutely have to try that.

*head in hands* What have I done? I told him to try a more direct approach. Oh God.

Kaytara In reply to Sister-to-the-Queen [2012-08-10 21:30:26 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm, now let's all go and imagine what Crowley's version of 'a direct approach' would be... Especially if he were actually afraid/reluctant to truly give it away.

I imagine him making a musician with a violin come to play at their Ritz table one day and forcing nonchalance and innocence while Aziraphale is confused and still clueless. >D

Sister-to-the-Queen In reply to Kaytara [2012-08-14 17:10:29 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm... Invite Aziraphale to his flat, plant the both of them down on the couch, and put on a romantic comedy, making semi-direct comments along the way and being this close to choking on his nerves?

Your idea is good. Do something with it.

Kaytara In reply to Gabzies [2012-08-09 01:02:27 +0000 UTC]

To be fair, it DOES make for a very fascinating and heartwarming character development arc when, by the end of the book, Crowley is all LET ME TEMPT YOU TO LUNCH and he's only like "'kay".

Gabzies In reply to Kaytara [2012-08-09 01:26:32 +0000 UTC]

That is true. And there was hand holding earlier.

AND THERE WILL BE SPOONING LATER

Kaytara In reply to Gabzies [2012-08-09 09:59:05 +0000 UTC]

Whoops, sorry, I forgot the context you were replying to. Ignore my correction about the hand-holding, you're absolutely right.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Kaytara In reply to Gabzies [2012-08-09 09:54:42 +0000 UTC]

The hand-holding came at the end, didn't it? This is around the middle or so.

You're probably right about that last part, though. >D I mean, "recent exertions" having "fallout on reality" in the form of causing it to reference "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square", which is an extremely sappy love song? Somehow my mind has trouble not rushing straight into the gutter at the word 'exertions'. *snicker*

...I'm pretty sure I don't want to know what THAT particular euphemism refers to.

Though I'm thinking we should try and make it our own. Something involving Crowley's forked tongue, perhaps.

Gabzies In reply to Kaytara [2012-08-09 22:22:07 +0000 UTC]

Lol, basically it would end with them sharing a cigarette after.
And yes. Always Crowley's tongue.

The book lends itself FAR too easily to all kinds of kinky stuff.
