My entry to the Colossus Contest - talk about cutting it short! As soon as I heard about the contest, I knew I had to do this. Voila, a Life Colossus!Done in ca. 16 hours, more or less in one sitting. O_O
A sort of... continuation piece of my previous picture with the wood dragon, you could say.
Ladies and gentlement, this is the moment of truth.
To eat or not to eat?
EDIT: Tweaked and added some more details. It helps now that my eyes are no longer (as much) blurry from falling asleep.

Also, this is just my opinion, but that ridge-y range of mountains in the very back? Totally another (mountain) dragon's tail. Here there be dragons.

God, these colours are a treat for my eyes. All sorts of them and a wonderfully flowing into each other. The blue from the sky mirrored by the little petals down there on the meadow. I find that being to be "purrable" at. *nods* Yes.

Beautiful color choices for the clouds. I love how the light comes from behind them both below and above. The placement and size of trees give it a lot of depth. The tree Dragon is very original; I don't recall ever seeing one until now. Thanks for sharing!

Your use of color really adds life to this piece. As a fan of dragons, I am somewhat biased. As an artist, I try to be objective. This is beautiful.

The reddish hues of the sky compliment the green colors of the earth beautifully and amidst all this beauty of nature a giant wood/nature dragon pauses in it's journey to regard another traveler before it. The details are beautiful, the landscape gives the image a lot of depth and atmosphere and the composition is perfect.

I really, really like this piece. The sky and the light are wonderful, and I really like the dragon. The perspective is also quite interesting, I don't know if you did it on purpose, but something around the dragon's legs makes me think I'm looking through a fish eye lens.

I already LOVED the first artwork with the dragon. I think it's great that you used it again here. I would suggest putting both pieces together in this entry though. Like side by side or something. They are of the same creature, but in the older artwork you see the dragon close up. Some of that character is a bit lost here. Loving the light here

An overdue thank you for the comment. Nice suggestion, but it wouldn't have worked because the artwork must be brand-new and made specifically for the contest... It's no matter, I stood no chance against those amazing entries, anyway. XD
