This takes place just after Kion and Rani's wedding.

Baliyo: *walks over to Kovu and stands next to him* "Sooo, Kovu, right?"

Kovu: "Yes, that's right."

B: "I was just wondering about that scarred lioness over there. What happened to her?"

K: "You mean Zuri? Well, my m- a lioness and her pride attacked the Pridelands. Zuri joined the Pridelanders in the fight, but she doesn't have any kind of fighting skill in her and kind of got her butt kicked."

B: "Oh. Wow."

K: "It's actually good you didn't ask her about it directly."

B: "Oh? Why's that?"

K: "She is very sensitive about them. Zuri is kind of.. vain. She doesn't believe she is beautiful anymore because of them. And she isn't very nice either so she would probably make fun of your.. um.. legs."

B: "Well, I'm not ashamed of my legs. It's just who I am. But I think I'm going to talk to her anyway."

K: "Why?"

B: "She needs to know that she's still beautiful. Maybe hearing it from a complete stranger will change her mind."

I took forever on this cause I kept getting distracted xD

But yes I saw someone's HC that Zuri was the lioness in TLK2 that got the shit bit out of her and I decided that I'd incorporate that into my HC as well
