this is what im wondering...see, im assuming we all belong to groups, and get a lot of drawings from those groups coming in. we look, add to faves, and move on.... when do we ever look at our faves???
personally, i havnt in awhile. dont know if thats just me, so, yeah...
EDIT: okay so im the only one that never checks my faves... i went back, like 30 pages back, and i didnt recognise some of them... very surprising...

Yay! I organized my Fave's a few months ago, and I feel so organized. In a 4-hour period, I separated my 32 pages of Fave's into 11 folders! Now, whenever I favorite something, I just put it in the correct folder.
I was so lazy that I was amazed that I was able to do it!

Then just put them into an "Other" or "Something" folder.

I go and look back through my faves just about every week. (If not more.)
It's because a lot of times I'll see something on the front page newest deviations that I like and fave it.
...And I visit dA multiple times per day, so I get the front page a lot.

DA Adoptables are something you can DRAW or colour in with FREE LINEARTS.
You can check out my group for examples as well as my adoptables folder.
But you can make characters/people/animals and trade/sell them for

so then the person that adopted them will own what u drew, as well as the idea of the character, so they take the idea and make it their own? do they draw it from now on?

Basically yes. Or you can add things to it like accessories and clothes, cute stuff, cool stuff whatever you like! Since it's yours
And yes if they want to draw it they can, they can make it their OC if they like!!

Uhm hmm well they can claim the design, but they cannot resell the adoptable again or make a replica of it once it's owned.
Everyone that sells adotpables can make their own rules.

soooo... lets say i create a design, a character of a girl, then i sell it as an adoptable, but i keep designing the character of a girl and use it in my career or on an application to become a designer, would that be allowed?

a fan character from a tv show?
an older version of a character from a tv show? like if the character is 10 in the show and they draw them as like 23?
im assuming thats all bad? but how could it be prevented?

You CAN do that actually. As long as they are NOT the exact same.
Like make them Gijinkas, Or Chibi Versions, Different Colours w/Styles, Exc.
They can use that adoptable for whatever they want once they buy it.
BUT I recommend not using something that has resemblence of a tv character, (ON TV) Like don't make tv shows with it if you go that far, or companies will be like wtf & sue.
But yes you CAN make them, but not exact same.
