Also, you'd maybe like the anime, Shinzo then. That sort of thing would happen whenever one of the enemy Hyper Enterrans were defeated.

haven't tried sonic rivals, and i haven't even seen it in any store nearby
this Shinzo, then, will probably be found somewhere in the internet. i'll check it out some day if i remember.

Yeah, well both of them you might enjoy, since both of them involves fighting bad guys who change into cards after being defeated.
In Shinzo, it involves this team of beings called "Enterrans" who are fighting against rival Enterrans and are on a journey to find this legendary city called "Shinzo." Whenever an Enterran is defeated, he changes into a card, which can then be absorbed to make another Enterran become stronger, and they'd fight the rival Enterrans as to gain power in their quest. So they are also collecting there enemy-cards to make themselves even more mightier.
As for Sonic Rivals, in it, Eggman Nega (Eggman's alternate dimension counterpart), develops a strange ray that changes others into cards, and he uses it on some of Sonic's teammates after beating them in battle. Also a reason why you'd like it.
