I have to say, I didn't really think the whole thing about Jark and Spyed was that big a deal until I read this: [link] and some of Spyed's journal.

Secretly being motivated almost solely by money is bad enough, but coming out and speaking of a dream for perverting DA into a capitalist empire is downright scary! Sadly, that's not all of it. Apparently, Spyed would also like to set up a hierarchy among the artists (you know, like a caste system), and ban those artists "not good enough for the site." His reasoning for this appears to lie mostly on the idea that it'll increase the number of high-quality images at DA (and profits as well). You might want to read that link in case I screwed up on any of the info, but wow that's scary.

Anyway, this pic is just to remind people that August 7th is the protest date. So either draw some yellow Jark-themed art or don't post a thing on DA (not a pic, not a journal, nothing). Don't even comment, fav, or buy prints. At least, those are the ideas promoted in these two journals: [link] [link] So promote the community, seek the truth about Jark's removal, and for the love of whatever you believe in, don't let deviantART become a corporate machine!
