Portrait of a picture I took at a concert. I think I'll just stick to portraits from now on. But I get to do whatever the hell I want next semester, so woo! Time to be impulsive.

Wowowow you did an amazing job!! The guitar looks so so so good, guitars are so hard to draw!! Is this charcoal? I really love how you struck a good balance between hard and soft lines. The expression on the face is so perfect.
The only suggestion I would make is maybe increasing the darks on the face, and perhaps making one side of the background darker to make the figure really stand out! But fantastic work really, this is very impressive!

Thank you, immensely! Nah, it was all done in pencil. Guitars are hard to draw. Extremely. But I like doing detailed parts, they keep my focus. Thanks for the advice!

I think the texture on that shirt is pretty flippin' amazing. This was done with pencil, right?
There are areas along the arm and on the guitar that have sort of--this is such an overly inelegant word--blotches? It just looks very slightly uneven. But that doesn't make the forms unreadable at all; I think they're described really well.
And I don't know who this is, but... maybe I could have a cookie anyway...? ;0

Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it? I haven't done much lately, but hopefully I'll pick up the pace

I see what you're saying about the blotches, and you're right. Sometimes I over-analyze the picture I work with and it becomes a little too detailed.
